Torx is an audio game made by Hasbro in 2004. Torx is a command game in which the toy issues commands and the player must respond accordingly. Torx consists of four unique games: Follow My Command, Find the Shape, Torx Says, and Pass Torx. The player must bend or twist the handles on the gaming unit based on the directions issued by the toy. The Torx unit is approximately 20 inches long when straightened. When the unit is folded, it is approximately 8" x 10" x 3".[1]
Torx has four different games. The first game is called Follow my Command. In this game torx issues commands to the player and every 15 points there is a memory task. The sequence starts with two commands and ends up with a sixteen commands in a sequence. The maximum score on every game is 240. The second game is called find the shape. Torx starts off by saying "Find the shape I want to be, as fast as you can!" Then the music begins and the player bends or twists until they hear a sound to say that they have found the shape. There is also a Simon Says type game, where they use different tones. There is also a multi-player game called Pass Torx. It is the same as Follow my command and the game gets passed around.
Some Torx owners have said recently on an internet forum that Torx has the voice of the devil. (citation pending) While this is an exaggeration, many of them were afraid to play Torx as children. It has gained popularity among thril-seeking adults, however.
